- Once you have connected your Motorola ThinkPhone to your PC, you can manage the files or open the apps from your phone on your computer.
- To discover the integrated Android experience on your PC, follow these step-by-step instructions.
- Proceed with your PC.
- Choose Ready For Assistant.
- Hover your pointer over the phone image.
- Choose App streaming.
- Choose an app, in this case, Messages.
- You can now control the app from your PC.
- To close the app, choose the cross symbol.
- Hover your pointer over the phone image.
- Desktop and Mobile allow you to control your phone directly from the PC.
- Mirror allows you to mirror your phone’s screen on the PC.
- Choose an option, in this case, Desktop.
- If this screen appears, choose Next and follow the onscreen instructions.
- If this screen does not appear, go to the next step.
- You can now control your phone in desktop view.
- To expand the window size, choose the maximize symbol.
- To open the app tray and launch phone apps, choose the menu symbol.
- Choose an app, in this case, Chrome.
- Optional: Choose the left or right rectangle symbol to snap the window to one side of the mobile desktop.
- To minimise the app, choose the minimise symbol.
- To close the app, choose the cross symbol.
- Choose the settings symbol.
- Here you can change the settings, change the wallpaper, set the screen timeout, modify the display size and the font size, change the pointer speed and the input language.
- Choose the cross symbol.
- To adjust the call volume during calls, or adjust media volume when playing media, choose the volume symbol.
- To adjust the volume, drag the slider.
- Optional: To change the audio source, choose Phone speaker or Connected device.
- Choose Done.
- To view notifications sent to your phone and adjust quick settings, choose the bell symbol.
- To exit the desktop view, choose the cross symbol.
- Hover your pointer over the phone image.
- To use your Motorola ThinkPhone as a webcam, choose Webcam and follow the on-screen instructions on your phone.
- To share the mobile data connection of your Motorola ThinkPhone, choose Instant hotspot.
- To stop using Instant hotspot, choose Stop.
- Hover your pointer over the phone image.
- Choose Files.
- You can manage your phone’s files directly from your PC.
- Proceed with your Motorola ThinkPhone.
- Go to the Home screen.
- To open the menu, swipe up on the screen.
- Scroll down.
- Choose Ready For.
- Choose PC or tablet.
- Scroll down.
- To stop the synchronisation with your PC, choose Stop under File Explorer.
- Note: You can launch your favourite Ready For actions by double-pressing the red key.
- Return to the Home screen.
- Choose the camera symbol.
- To take a picture, choose the shutter symbol.
- To view the picture, choose the image.
- The picture has been copied to the clipboard.
- Proceed with your PC.
- Open a document you’d like to edit.
- To paste the picture taken with your Motorola ThinkPhone, press Ctrl+V on your keyboard.
- The picture has been pasted into the document on your PC.
- Note: You can also copy phone screenshots or text from your phone’s clipboard.
